Rivera Marina S.de R.L. was founded in 1996 by Mr. Medardo Efrain Rivera. It all started with 20
hectares of shrimp ponds and 15 workers with a dream. The shrimp production was about fifty
thousand pounds (50,000 lb) their first year.
Currently, Rivera Marina has grown into an operation of over 387 shrimp ponds, directly impacting
the community of Aldea El Ojochal, Marcovia by creating 140 jobs directly and indirectly 90 jobs
locally.

Rivera Marina is now producing over three million pounds (3,100,000.00) of shrimp annually while
always maintaining high standards of quality with a sustainable approach.

Our Litopeanaeus Vannamei Shrimp is currently certified by the Aquaculture Stewardship Council
(ASC).
