Merseafood was present at the signing of the bilateral agreement between Honduras and Korea.

On April 2, Honduras and South Korea signed a Letter of Understanding on Cooperation and Phytosanitary Practices between SAG-SENASA and the National Service for Quality Management of Fisheries Producers (NSQF) of Korea to strengthen aquaculture health and advance the certification that will allow the export of Honduran shrimp to South Korea.

To this end, the Director of the Quarantine and Inspection Division of the Republic of Korea, Mr. Oh Sung-hyun, and his team inspected shrimp farms, laboratories, and processing plants in the southern region, verifying compliance with the sanitary standards required by South Korea.

The expectation is that the process of exporting shrimp to Korea will begin in the short term.
